Bainbridge Island Diving Club
Bainbridge Island Diving Club is a nonprofit club administered under the Bainbridge Island Metro Park and Recreation District and supported by a parent booster group. The program is a not-for-profit organization that continues to take the sport of diving and its athletes of all ages to new levels. The diving club is for divers of varying ages and of any abilities who want conditioning and dive technique enhancement. Practices are a mixture of ability appropriate dryland and pool workouts in preparation for elite level competitions. Competitions commonly call for travel and hotels in locations such as Vancouver, B.C., Portland, OR, and various other states including California, Utah, and Arizona. All participants must be members of USA Diving and/or AAU Diving. Parks department Dive Team fees are for class time. All other fees for diving organization memberships, competitions, and travel expenses, are additional. Space is limited and Coach approval is required.
Dive Club takes to the Skies
The Bainbridge Island Dive Club took to the skies to fly out to Boise, ID and compete in the Y Spring Classic diving meet this past weekend. This regional meet allowed the team’s members from Bainbridge, Kingston and Poulsbo to showcase their abilities on both the 1 meter and 3 meter springboards against some very strong Pacific Northwest competition.
